Rachael Kee

PhD Candidate in Communication · UC Davis
Rachael Kee is a PhD candidate in the Department of Communication at University of California, Davis and member of the Cognitive Communication Science Lab. Her research examines how sleep, media use, and neurobiological processes interact to shape human behavior and well-being across time. Broadly, she is interested in developing computational and high-throughput approaches to studying communication as it naturally unfolds in everyday life.
Her work integrates methods from communication science, neuroscience, and computational social science, including electroencephalography (EEG), functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI), wearable and mobile sensing technologies, ecological momentary assessment (EMA), longitudinal modeling, and lab-based experiments. She is particularly interested in scalable approaches for capturing dynamic behavioral, physiological, and psychological processes in naturalistic settings.
